Tadpole was invented and patented by Stanley Whetstone to eliminate problems and to reduce energy and maintenance costs in all kinds of heating systems. Tadpole in its present form has been on the market since 2006 and has been installed and tested on many heating systems in that time. Formal testing has also confirmed the efficacy of Tadpole in reducing energy costs.

Tadpole Energy Ltd was incorporated in 2008 when Mark Huelin of The Energy Savers and Tom McGahon Architect, both with over 20 years of experience in energy conservation, joined with Stan to further develop Tadpole and to accelerate its introduction to a large untapped market.

Since then additional tests have been undertaken which have further demonstrated the ability of Tadpole to reduce energy consumption by over 25% with particular success on ground and air source heat pumps.

The company is now embarking on specific tests to confirm the ability of Tadpole to remove oxygen from heating water to an inert level thereby eliminating the formation of magnetites and sludge and reducing maintenance costs considerably. We are also undergoing tests on a commercial Tadpole to service larger heating systems such as schools, offices and public buildings and would hope to have this available on the market in 2010.
